When I was young, I distinctly remember memorizing the Bible chapter in John 1.  I didn’t know what each word meant then, but the Word remained in my heart till now.  It is my dream for our kids to remember the Bible chapters of God’s word – “living and active… sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow” (Hebrews 4:12).  So I started to make visual aids or helpers for kids to remember Bible chapters, and here are the first ones that I made.  I hope they can help you and your kiddos to recite chapters of the Bible to guide your hearts and souls.

First one that I started was Psalm 23.  It reminded me that no matter what happens in life even though I walk through uncertainties and chaos, I shall not fear evil because the Lord is with me.  He guides us as a good shepherd and leads us to green pastures with a promise of goodness and mercy in all the days of our lives.

Psalm 23 is a very good starting chapter to memorize.  You can click on the image to download a free poster from my TeachersPayTeachers page.

Psalm 23 Bible Memorization Helper has scriptures from Psalm 23 and visual helpers to help preschoolers, Kindergarteners and even children who are older.  The scriptures are in NIV, ESV, NRSV, KJV and NLT depending on your needs in color and black/white for those who do not wish to print in color.

I embedded songs that I used for Psalm 23 that you can play along for your kiddos.

Here is an another wonderful Bible chapter.  It reminds us of the Lord who made us and guides us like His pasture.  We can sing praise with thanksgiving for His goodness and love as we memorize Psalm 100.  You can click on the image on your right to purchase Psalm 23 and Psalm 100 Bible Memorization helpers.
