Best Christian Audio Dramas for Kids

1. Adventures on Odyssey

Adventures in Odyssey was our first introduction to audio dramas.  We listened to a few of them, and all of them were thought provoke, sharing relevant stories and, at the same time, showing how to deal with problems and finding answers to difficult faith questions.  “The Adventure Begins: The Wildest Summer Ever” was so relevant to our own struggles as we listened on our way to a long drive to the Yosemite National Park.  The stories encouraged and brought out faithful application of the struggles that we faced.

They also have series of books.  And one is “The Imagination Station,” which brings kids to an unforgettable journey filled with action-packed adventure through the imagination station.

2. Lamplighter Kids (Podcast for younger kids)

Our kids loved Lamplighter Kids filled with character-building stories and loves Momo McSquirrel who has acorn-obsession, sharing the stories with strong virtues and character.  Join Rebecca and Momo McSquirrel as they share stories of virtues to kids through fun and engaging stories.

3. Lamplighter Theaters (older kids)

We first encountered this Lamplight Theaters from a Christian radio station.  My son, though only nine-year old at that time, asked me to listen and stay in the car even after we reached our destination.  My son is an auditory learner and loves to listen to read-alouds.  You can find stories of perseverance, courage, hope, and humility that will build Christ-like character for your children.  In my opinion, these audio dramas are for kids eleven year olds or older.

4. Your Story Hour

Acts has been gifted to us, and my son said, “Why didn’t you play this for us earlier?” He loves it and asks to play it every time we are in the car.  Your Story Hour audios of Acts brought the book of Acts into living characters through whom we can relate and learn from their stories.

5. Jonathan Park

Jonathan Park Audio Dramas are fun faith-building audio series that help kids deal with questions on important science topics that bolster their faith.  For example, “The Secret of the Hidden Cave” deals with important science topics such as evidence for a worldwide flood, extinction of dinosaurs.  This audio drama shares the essence of the gospel and how they can stand up for the truth.

6. Torchlighters

The Torchlighters is an ongoing series of animated stories of true-life heroes from Christian history.  This is an animated or video stream rather than an audio, but they are encouraging stories of true Christian heroes.

7. Sugar Creek Gang on Moody Audio

Sugar Creek Gang is stories of faithful children who grew up together in the Sugar Creek. Though it was first published as series of books, our kids love to listen to Sugar Creek Gang audio books from Moody Audio. In one book, a father of the gangs’ friend comes to know the Lord through patiently praying for him, inviting and many parents talking to him.  My kids loved the book so much and even wanted to listen while we were on the road.

8. Brinkman Adventures

From wacky adventures of a big family mixed with exciting true stories of modern day Christian heroes, the Brinkman Adventures tells powerful stories from the lives of real missionaries through the humorous escapades of the Brinkman family.

9. Down Gilead Lane

Our family have been listening to daily devotionals from Keys for Kids for quite a while.  Down Gilead Lane powered by Keys For Kids Radio has twelves seasons and many episodes per season.  The stories are filled with insightful stories that can relate to you and your kids.  I would say that this is geared toward children from preschool through fifth grade.

10. Heirloom's audio dramas for kids
